In this role, the Valet Attendant will open and close vehicle and hotel doors, offer directions, manage vehicle flow on the property, ensure safety and security, and assist guests with their luggage. The role is physically demanding, requiring stamina to stand for long periods, the ability to run short distances multiple times daily, and the strength to handle luggage and assist guests in and out of vehicles. The Valet Attendant also works closely with other hotel departments such as Concierge and Front Office to support additional guest services. Job Requirements

  • Standing at least 8 hours a day
  • Running up to 200 yards, 50 times a day or more
  • Entering and exiting customers vehicles 75 or more times daily
  • Lifting wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, baggage, gifts etc. in and out of customers vehicles
  • A valid driver’s license held for at least one year prior to applying

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic knowledge of local area and directions

Job Duties

  • Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property
  • Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property
  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours
  • Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas
  • Maintain security of vehicles and vehicle keys
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • Identify and explain room features to guests
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval
  • Assist guests in/out of vehicles including loading/unloading luggage
  • Assist Concierge and Front Office staff with guest requests
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Follow company policies ensuring uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
