The role of Vacuum Concierge at Tommy's Express is integral to the customer experience, focusing heavily on delivering proactive, friendly, and personalized service to guests primarily in the vacuum service areas. This position bridges customer engagement with operational support, making it a dynamic and interactive role that involves greeting guests, educating them on wash options, and promoting monthly wash packages and upgrades to drive sales. The Vacuum Concierge serves as a visible ambassador for the Tommy's Express brand, ensuring guests have a seamless and positive experience by anticipating needs, offering assistance with vacuum equipment, and resolving any guest concerns right away. Additionally, this role involves supporting sales efforts beyond the vacuum area during slower periods, including fleet sales outreach, lead generation, and business development activities. The Vacuum Concierge will also interface with point of sale (POS) and license plate recognition (LPR) technology to support efficient check-in and operational activities.
Working in a fast-paced retail environment, the Vacuum Concierge must maintain cleanliness and order throughout the property, focusing on the vacuum area to create an inviting and organized space. The position requires physical activity, including moving equipment up to 30 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The role can be part-time or full-time with weekend shifts required. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Willingness to work weekends and variable shifts
- Basic understanding of POS and related technology
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to and from work

Job Duties
- Provide proactive, friendly, and personalized service to guests primarily in the vacuum area ensuring an exceptional experience
- Greet every guest to build relationships, educate them on wash options, and drive sales of monthly wash packages and service upgrades
- Serve as a brand ambassador in the vacuum area by anticipating guest needs, assisting with vacuum use, and resolving concerns in real time
- Support fleet sales and business development efforts during slower periods or inclement weather including outreach, lead generation, and relationship building
- Learn and operate all aspects of POS and LPR systems to support sales, guest check-in, and car wash operations as needed
- Monitor wash quality and overall guest satisfaction taking ownership to address issues and elevate the experience
- Help maintain vacuum equipment and perform routine care as needed to ensure consistent, high-quality service
- Oversee property aesthetics with a focus on the vacuum area ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
- Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the car wash and surrounding property
- Exceed guest expectations by delivering a concierge-level experience that drives loyalty and repeat visits
- Exemplify and uphold the WE OWN IT culture by taking ownership of guest relationships, sales results, and the overall success of the location
