The upcoming Caption by Hyatt Chattanooga is a new addition to the Hyatt brand, set to open in March 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for hospitality professionals to join the opening team for a modern and innovative hotel concept that strives to blend social spaces with unique design elements and exceptional service. Candidates will begin working in early March to prepare the hotel for its grand opening, making this role essential to setting the standard for future operations.

The role primarily focuses on providing excellent guest services in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner while adhering to the highest standards of hospitality. The employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, handling supplies efficiently, and ensuring all tasks are completed according to company policies and procedures.

Company associates are granted access to guestrooms and property, which necessitates high levels of honesty and trustworthiness. Employees must pass security clearances as required by the company to maintain the safety and security of the property and its guests. The work environment demands physical endurance including standing, lifting, bending, and the ability to perform various manual tasks such as pushing or pulling heavy loads and standing for extended periods. The employee should have the ability to communicate clearly and work both independently and as part of a team while remaining service-focused and attentive to detail.

The job responsibilities include setting up workstations, operating cleaning equipment properly, maintaining overall cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensuring compliance with safety and cost control measures. The employee should be able to manage multiple tasks at once and respond promptly to any hazardous conditions observed, communicating professionally with guests and coworkers at all times. Additional duties may include setting up meeting rooms, handling guest issues, and performing general houseman duties as assigned.

Candidates with experience in lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities are preferred, as is a food handling certification, although this is not mandatory. The position is not suited for remote work; physical presence at the hotel is required. The hotel is committed to inclusivity and offers opportunities for advancement into roles such as Bar Back or Server for motivated individuals committed to growing their careers in hospitality.
