We are currently seeking dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Workers who will play an essential role in maintaining the efficient flow of products through our distribution centers. As a Warehouse Worker at Performance Foodservice, you will be integral to the company’s success by performing shipping and receiving functions, conducting quality control checks, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. This position requires individuals who can work actively, safely, and independently to meet productivity and accuracy standards while supporting the seamless distribution process of goods. Responsibilities include operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, performing general housekeeping duties, maintaining cleanliness and safety of work areas, handling product returns, and assisting in inventory management.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
Must be able to work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime
Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
Able to lift, stack, and pull products weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to 60-90 pounds depending on location
Able to work in multi-temperature environments including cooler, freezer, and dry areas
Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Performs general warehouse duties including forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving
Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps warehouse area, loading dock, and trailers clear and clean
Ensures work area is safe and reports any unsafe conditions or acts immediately
Performs daily safety check of assigned forklift/pallet jack
Performs damage control checks on items received and contacts supervisor about removing items
Removes batteries requiring recharging, replaces with charged batteries, and completes vehicle inspection checklist
Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepares for operations
Puts on all required personal protective equipment and safety gear
Meets required productivity and accuracy standards
Secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork
Performs other related duties as assigned
