At Glendale Community College, Sodexo is looking for a full-time Utility Worker to join their team. This position offers a starting pay rate of $15.00 per hour and involves varying shifts that require open availability. The role is critical in supporting kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout food production and service areas. As a Utility Worker, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces, as well as transporting and storing supplies and assisting with basic setup and breakdown tasks as directed. This role involves significant physical activity, including walking, standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

The Utility Worker position goes beyond routine janitorial tasks; it plays an integral part in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment which is vital for successful food service operations. You will work closely with kitchen staff to wash dishes by hand or with dishwashing machines, sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks, sweep and mop floors, remove trash to designated areas, and restock supplies such as soap and paper towels.
