As a Utility Worker within the Oklahoma County Senior Nutrition Program under Sodexo’s banner, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food preparation and service areas. This part-time position offers varying shifts with open availability preferred and pays $9 per hour. As a Utility Worker, your responsibilities will include washing dishes either by hand or using dishwashing machines, cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, equipment, floors, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks to ensure a hygienic environment that complies with food safety standards. You will also transport and store supplies, restock necessary items like soap and paper towels, and assist with setup and breakdown tasks related to kitchen and facility operations.
Physical requirements of the role involve significant walking, standing for extended periods that may exceed eight hours, and the ability to lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. This position requires punctual attendance, reliability, and the flexibility to perform additional duties as needed depending on client requirements and operational needs. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- No related work experience required
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, potentially exceeding 8 hours
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull
- Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned

- Re-stock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
- Assists with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed
