This particular role is for a full-time Utility Worker position at the Auto Club Headquarters located in Costa Mesa. The Utility Worker plays a vital role in supporting kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization across food production and service areas. The position involves essential tasks such as washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces and equipment, managing waste disposal, and assisting in setting up and breaking down operational areas. The role requires physical stamina, including walking, standing for extended periods, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Working weekdays with morning and afternoon/evening shifts, the Utility Worker position offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.00 to $20.00. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety
  • ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, or pull and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
  • strong work ethic and punctuality
  • willingness to learn and follow company safety standards

Job Duties

  • Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
  • cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
  • sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors
  • removes trash and garbage to designated areas
  • cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
  • restocks supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
  • assists with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed
