The Utility Worker position based at Belmont University offers a full-time opportunity with a pay range of $16 to $18 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • no related work experience required
  • knowledge of sanitation procedures including basic food safety concepts
  • ability to walk or stand for long periods during shifts
  • ability to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds
  • availability for varying shifts and open scheduling
  • punctuality and regular attendance

Job Duties

  • Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine
  • cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
  • sweeps, mops, cleans, and vacuums floors
  • removes trash and garbage to designated areas
  • cleans equipment using specific chemicals to maintain sanitary standards
  • re-stocks supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
  • assists with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed
