As a Utility Worker, the individual will play a critical support role within kitchen and facility operations by ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of food production and service areas. Duties include washing dishes by hand or using dishwashing machinery, cleaning and sanitizing various kitchen surfaces such as worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks, as well as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors consistently.

Equally important is the responsibility of waste management, which involves removing trash and garbage to designated disposal areas, contributing to a clean and hygienic workspace. The position also entails cleaning equipment using specific chemicals, restocking supplies including soap and paper towels, and supporting basic setup and breakdown operations as directed by supervisors.

Physical stamina and mobility are essential, as the role requires significant walking or other means of movement throughout the shift, which may last over eight hours. The ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds—and occasionally up to 50 pounds—is expected. Punctuality and regular attendance are vital to the role’s success, and workers must show dependability in adhering to their scheduled shifts.
