Job Description

SSP is a leading operator of food and beverage outlets located in travel locations worldwide, including airports, train stations, and motorway service areas. The company is known for its commitment to providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service in fast-paced environments. With a broad portfolio that includes well-known brands and local favorites, SSP’s establishments cater to diverse customer preferences, making it a trusted name in the hospitality and food service industry. As an employer, SSP emphasizes inclusivity, diversity, and creating a supportive workplace where employees can thrive and develop their careers.

Currently, SSP is hiring Utility Workers to join their team at restaurant locations inside the CID Airport. These roles are available on both full-time and part-time shifts, offering a competitive wage of $18.00 per hour, along with immediate hiring opportunities. Employees will also enjoy 2 weeks of paid time off, reflecting the company’s dedication to work-life balance and employee well-being. The position offers prospects for career advancement within the organization, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals looking to grow in the hospitality industry.

The Utility Worker role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and hygienic standards of SSP’s airport restaurants, which is crucial for creating a positive guest experience. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining all work areas and surfaces such as floors, walls, windows, equipment, and service counters. The role requires handling refuse disposal, resetting tables between seatings, and assisting in dishwashing duties by either scraping food residues, washing by hand, or loading dishwashers. Utility Workers also use specific cleaning chemicals and heavy equipment to meet sanitary standards ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for both guests and colleagues.

In addition to cleaning duties, Utility Workers play a key role in guest service by assisting guests with special requests and communicating these needs to servers or supervisors. The position involves logistical tasks such as loading and unloading supply trucks and managing stock rotation and food item temperature checks to comply with safety protocols. Given the fast-paced airport environment, the role demands attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.

Diversity and inclusion are integral to SSP’s philosophy. The company welcomes applicants from various backgrounds and is committed to ensuring equality and preventing discrimination. As a part of SSP, Utility Workers become members of a diverse team dedicated to creating an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and motivated.
