The Utility Worker position at Sodexo in this location is vital in supporting kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the food production and service areas. The Utility Worker will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces are kept clean and sanitized according to established standards. This includes washing dishes by hand or machine, cleaning and sanitizing worktables and refrigerators, sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash, and restocking supplies such as soap and paper towels. The position also requires physical stamina to walk or stand for extended periods, occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, and the flexibility to respond to additional duties as required by business needs or client demands. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- No related work experience required
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures including basic concepts of food safety
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods during shifts which may exceed 8 hours
- Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity

Job Duties
- Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
- Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks
- Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors
- Removes trash and garbage to designated areas
- Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
- Re-stock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
- Attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
