As a Utility Worker at Sodexo, assigned to Phoenix Children's Hospital, you will play an integral role in supporting kitchen and facility operations essential to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This full-time position offers a stable pay rate of $16.00 per hour, with work shifts that include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and some weekends or holidays, providing flexibility based on operational needs. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing food production and service areas to ensure safety and compliance with food safety standards. You will be responsible for washing dishes manually or via machine, cleaning work surfaces, walls, floors, refrigerators, and equipment using specific cleaning agents. Additionally, you will manage trash removal, restock cleaning supplies such as soap and paper towels, and assist with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen and facility areas.

The position requires physical stamina and mobility, as it involves extensive walking, standing, bending, and occasionally lifting loads up to 50 pounds.   • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Willingness to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Punctuality and regular attendance

Job Duties

  • Wash dishes by hand or in dishwashing machine
  • Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
  • Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors
  • Remove trash and garbage to designated areas
  • Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
  • Re-stock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
  • Assist with basic setup and breakdown tasks as directed
