The Utility Worker position at Sodexo within SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital is a full-time role offering a consistent pay rate of $15.00 per hour. This shift involves working afternoons and evenings with varying days and rotating weekends, providing a dynamic work schedule that supports the hospital’s operational needs. The role is essential in supporting the culinary team and facility operations by ensuring that food production and service areas are kept clean, organized, and sanitary.

As a Utility Worker, you will play a vital role in the daily maintenance of kitchen and related facilities. Responsibilities include washing dishes by hand or using dishwashers, cleaning and sanitizing worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks, and ensuring floors are swept, mopped, cleaned, and vacuumed to hospital standards. The job also involves the removal of trash and garbage to designated areas, cleaning equipment with appropriate chemicals, and restocking supplies such as soap and paper towels. This role requires substantial mobility throughout shifts, including walking, standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds, emphasizing the physical nature of the position.
