We are currently hiring Utility employees who play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all our restaurants at the Spokane International Airport. These positions are hourly and offer a competitive wage of $19.50 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role within our organizational operations. As a Utility employee at SSP America, you will be responsible for various tasks that ensure the smooth and hygienic operation of our food service areas. This job requires a warm and friendly demeanor, diligence in performing essential cleaning duties, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness. This role involves a combination of manual cleaning duties, detailed sanitation tasks, and occasional heavy lifting as part of maintaining the kitchens, dining areas, and storage spaces. You will engage in diverse activities such as cleaning floors, walls, windows, and equipment, clearing and resetting tables, handling dishwashing tasks, managing waste disposal, and stocking supplies. Your attention to detail and adherence to sanitary standards will be essential to meeting health and safety regulations and supporting the effective functioning of our food service operations.

Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies
- must be able to stand for long periods
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- basic English communication skills
- willingness to adhere to health and safety guidelines
- ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a cleaning or hospitality role preferred
- ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
- ability to handle physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitary practices is a plus
Job Duties
- Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas
- maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment including floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas
- remove refuse to designated areas
- clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning
- scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash them by hand or load dishwasher and return them to proper storage
- clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards which may include use of heavy equipment
- assist all guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to server or supervisor
- load and unload supply trucks, transferring items between storage and work areas
- stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of food items
- perform other duties as assigned
