The Utility Worker position at Sodexo, based at UC Health Highlands Ranch Hospital, is a part-time role with a pay range of $18.50 to $20.72 per hour, primarily involving weekday morning shifts. This role is essential in supporting kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the food production and service areas. The Utility Worker is responsible for various cleaning tasks, including washing dishes either by hand or using dishwashing machines, cleaning and sanitizing worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks, and sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. They also manage trash and garbage disposal, clean equipment with specific chemicals to maintain sanitary standards, and restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.

The position demands physical stamina, as it involves significant walking, extended periods of standing or walking exceeding 8 hours, and the ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. Utility Workers must demonstrate reliability by attending scheduled shifts punctually and consistently. The role may include other duties as assigned, varying by account based on business necessities and client requirements.

Job Requirements

  • No prior related work experience required
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic food safety concepts
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, possibly over 8 hours
  • Physical ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
  • Ability to attend work and show up on time with satisfactory regularity

Job Duties
