The Utility Worker position at Sodexo within the Grady Health System is a full-time role offering an hourly wage of $16.50. This position requires someone with open availability to work any shift, and more specific details about schedules will be provided during the interview process. The role is essential in supporting kitchen and facility operations by ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout food production and service areas. As a Utility Worker, you will engage in tasks such as washing dishes by hand or using dishwashing machines, cleaning and sanitizing worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks. You will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, removing trash to designated areas, and restocking supplies like soap and paper towels. Physical stamina is necessary for this role as it involves significant walking or other mobility, standing or walking for extended periods during shifts that may exceed 8 hours, and the ability to occasionally lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
This position requires a commitment to punctuality and regular attendance, reflecting the dependable role the Utility Worker has in the daily operations. - No related work experience required
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow safety and cleanliness protocols

Job Duties
- Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
