The Utility Worker position at Sodexo within the Grady Health System is a full-time role offering an hourly wage of $16.50. This position requires someone with open availability to work any shift, and more specific details about schedules will be provided during the interview process. The role is essential in supporting kitchen and facility operations by ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout food production and service areas. Utility Workers play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment by cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, workspaces, and floors, which promotes food safety and compliance with sanitation standards.

As a Utility Worker, you will engage in tasks such as washing dishes by hand or using dishwashing machines, cleaning and sanitizing worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks. You will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, removing trash to designated areas, and restocking supplies like soap and paper towels. Physical stamina is necessary for this role as it involves significant walking or other mobility, standing or walking for extended periods during shifts that may exceed 8 hours, and the ability to occasionally lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
