With a diverse portfolio of iconic brands and properties across the globe, the company continually raises the bar for high standards in the hotel and lodging sector. Hilton is recognized not only for its guest-centric philosophy but also as a world-class employer, celebrated for an award-winning workplace culture that values integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a strong sense of urgency and discipline.
Joining the Hilton Hotels team means becoming part of a dedicated community that thrives on creating memorable and joyful guest experiences. The role of Utility Steward at Hilton is an essential position within the food and beverage department, where the focus is on maintaining impeccable cleanliness and operational efficiency in kitchen and dining areas. The Utility Steward is responsible for ensuring that all serviceware, including chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, are spotlessly cleaned and properly prepared for service. This not only supports day-to-day kitchen operations but also directly enhances the overall guest experience by contributing to a hygienic and inviting environment.
This full-time role involves daily responsibilities such as cleaning, scrubbing pots and pans, burnishing silver, mopping floors, managing trash disposal, and monitoring stock levels to ensure all supplies and equipment are available and organized for seamless service delivery. The Utility Steward also plays a crucial part in event setups by preparing clean serviceware for banquets and functions, ensuring every event runs smoothly and meets Hilton’s high standards. Additionally, this role supports team development by mentoring new stewards, sharing expertise to strengthen team performance and promoting best practices.
Health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness compliance are paramount in this position, with the Utility Steward maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards to safeguard both guest and team member wellbeing. Beyond the operational duties, working at Hilton means embracing core values such as hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a commitment to the present moment. These values guide the work culture and help team members thrive both professionally and personally.
Hilton is deeply invested in the welfare of its employees, offering comprehensive benefits that include exceptional travel perks, employee stock purchase programs, paid parental leave, personalized caregiving support, crisis response assistance, mental health resources, generous paid time off, and a range of health and welfare plans that cover medical, dental, and vision. The company also provides financial security options through retirement plans, helping team members build a stable future. Benefits vary by location and employment terms but collectively represent Hilton’s unwavering commitment to team member wellbeing.
Joining Hilton means more than just employment—it means becoming part of a global family dedicated to excellence, innovation, and delivering unforgettable moments to guests and employees alike. Whether you’re beginning your hospitality career or seeking new opportunities to grow, Hilton supports your journey with unparalleled resources and opportunities for advancement. With a focus on creating a welcoming work environment and promoting professional growth, Hilton encourages you to join a team where exceptional hospitality starts with you and every stay is made special.
