The Utility Steward role at Hilton is a pivotal position within the hotel’s kitchens and dining services, focused on maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety to ensure an outstanding guest experience. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting seamless food service operations by keeping all serviceware, including chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, impeccably clean and ready for use. Additionally, Utility Stewards ensure that kitchen and dining areas meet the highest standards of hygiene by performing thorough cleaning duties such as mopping floors and removing trash. They are integral to event preparation and execution, helping set up for banquets and functions to maintain consistent quality and professionalism.

Beyond the fundamental cleanliness and maintenance responsibilities, this role also involves monitoring stock levels, ensuring that all supplies and equipment are adequately stocked and organized to avoid any disruption in service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hospitality or cleaning roles preferred
  • Ability to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow strict health, safety, and sanitation protocols
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective team player and good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen stewarding role preferred

Job Duties

  • Keep serviceware spotless by cleaning all chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, scrub pots and pans, and burnish silver
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure supplies and equipment are always well stocked and organized for seamless service
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness by performing essential cleaning tasks, including mopping and trash removal
  • Support events delivery by preparing and setting up clean serviceware for banquets and functions
  • Train and mentor team members by sharing expertise with new stewards to help strengthen team performance
  • Comply with regulatory standards including health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
  • Ensure the highest standards of guest and team member well-being
