Hilton is currently seeking a dedicated Utility Steward to join its dynamic Hotels team. As a Utility Steward, you play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and dining areas, enabling a seamless and memorable hospitality experience for every guest. This position demands attention to detail, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to upholding Hilton’s high standards of health, safety, and sanitation. Your work will involve cleaning serviceware such as chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, scrubbing pots and pans, as well as monitoring stock levels to ensure supplies and equipment are organized for smooth service delivery.

The Utility Steward supports events by preparing and setting up immaculate serviceware for banquets and functions, ensuring every detail contributes to the success of these special occasions. Additionally, this role provides an opportunity to mentor and train new stewards, reinforcing team strength and performance through shared expertise. Adherence to regulatory standards, including health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness, is paramount in this role to guarantee the wellbeing of both guests and team members.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain high cleanliness standards
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Keep serviceware spotless by cleaning all chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, scrub pots and pans, and burnish silver
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure supplies and equipment are always well stocked and organized for seamless service
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness by performing essential cleaning tasks, including mopping and trash removal
  • Support events delivery by preparing and setting up clean serviceware for banquets and functions
  • Train and mentor team members to share expertise with new stewards to help strengthen team performance
  • Comply with regulatory standards by maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being
