This position is an essential role within the housekeeping and kitchen maintenance team at one of the company’s top-rated luxury resorts, recognized with a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond rating as well as accolades such as Conde Nast’s Best Hotel in Oahu 2022. The primary responsibility of this role involves operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools, such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. The incumbent will wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, ensuring that all wares are stored appropriately and cleaned per safety and sanitation standards. They will use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the three-compartment sink system to clean dishes thoroughly and inspect items to ensure cleanliness and quality before returning them to service. Sorting, soaking, washing, and re-washing silverware will be necessary duties, as well as managing waste disposal, including glass and recyclable materials.

Attentiveness to safety protocols and adherence to company policies are crucial in this position. The role requires maintaining positive working relationships with team members and supporting shared goals, ensuring company assets are protected, and demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with availability required for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and performing repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, and stooping.
