The Utility Porter, also known as Porter de mantenimiento, is a vital role within our facilities management team, entrusted with maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas. Our organization is dedicated to providing safe, welcoming, and efficiently maintained environments that enhance the overall experience for all occupants and visitors.
Our company specializes in comprehensive facility management, focusing on maintaining high standards across a variety of property types. We understand that cleanliness and maintenance significantly impact the comfort and safety of our spaces; therefore, we employ skilled individuals who are trained in operating specialized equipment and following safety protocols. We strongly emphasize adherence to OSHA safety standards, especially when dealing with chemicals and electrical equipment, ensuring a secure workplace for all employees.
The Utility Porter role is a hands-on position that requires a diligent and proactive approach to maintenance duties. Beyond routine cleaning, the porter is responsible for moving and rearranging furniture and equipment to support our operational needs. Maintaining adequate stock levels of supplies in porter closets is essential to ensuring continuous cleanliness and efficiency.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of various flooring types—ranging from vinyl and concrete to carpet and marble—and will be skilled in the appropriate maintenance techniques. Experience with equipment such as scrubbers, buffer machines, carpet extractors, and scissor lifts is fundamental to performing the role effectively.
This role requires a minimum age of 21 years, a valid Nevada driver's license, and the physical ability to operate heavy and specialty machinery in a safe manner. Moreover, interpersonal skills are essential, as porters often interact with staff and visitors, requiring a friendly, courteous, and positive demeanor.
The Utility Porter position is perfect for individuals who take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of their work environment and who enjoy using various types of maintenance equipment regularly. It involves a blend of physical activity, technical skills, and customer service, making it a well-rounded job within the facilities industry.
Joining our company as a Utility Porter means becoming part of a team committed to operational excellence and safety, with opportunities for growth and development within the facilities management sphere. This role offers stability and the chance to work in a dynamic environment where your work has a direct impact on the satisfaction and safety of others.
