Job Description

SSP America is a leading operator of food and beverage concessions in travel locations, particularly airports, where they focus on offering unique and quality dining experiences. They specialize in bringing cool, authentic restaurants to airports that capture a taste of place, enhancing the journey of travelers with delicious and culturally relevant food options. Their business model centers on excellent customer service, hygiene, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in the fast-paced environment of airport terminals. As part of a global company, SSP America emphasizes advancement opportunities and offers both full-time and part-time roles with competitive pay starting at $18 per hour. They also provide numerous benefits including medical plan options for employees and their dependents, dental and vision coverage, and several voluntary plan coverages to support their team members' well-being.

The Utility/Dishwasher Worker position at SSP America plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards essential to the smooth operation of their restaurants and units. Those hired in this role are responsible for creating a positive guest experience by ensuring all work areas and equipment meet sanitary standards. This includes cleaning multiple surfaces—such as floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, grills, and refrigerators—and managing refuse removal properly. The Utility/Dishwasher Worker also assists with dishwashing duties, from scraping and washing dishes to loading dishwashers and returning items to storage. This role requires the use of specific cleaning chemicals and sometimes heavy equipment to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Additionally, Utility/Dishwasher Workers support the service team by clearing and resetting tables, transporting service ware to and from the kitchen, and assisting guests when needed. Other responsibilities include loading and unloading supply trucks, stocking and rotating food items, monitoring food temperatures, and performing other duties as assigned. The position demands stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods, as well as strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. SSP America hires immediately for this position and provides free parking, employee meals, and a welcoming work environment focused on growth and job satisfaction.
