The Utility Cleaner role at The Ritz-Carlton in Cleveland is a vital position that supports multiple departments across the hotel, including kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry services. This full-time, non-management role requires dedication to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards that contribute to the overall guest experience and operational excellence. The Utility Cleaner ensures that fresh clean linens and spotless dining ware are always prepared for guests and that all cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, and linen washers and dryers are operated and maintained effectively. Additionally, associates in this position may be responsible for transporting dishware or linens throughout the hotel as part of their daily tasks.

The Utility Cleaner must adhere to company policies and procedures, work safely by following all safety guidelines, and maintain a professional appearance and communication style. The ability to work collaboratively with various departments and maintain positive relationships is essential to meet team and organizational goals. Physical demands of the job include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping are also typical movements required to perform job duties effectively. Employees are expected to report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions promptly to management to help maintain a safe workplace.

Job Requirements
