The Utility Cleaner role at Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel is essential in maintaining the smooth operation and cleanliness of the hotel’s kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry departments. This full-time, non-management position requires individuals who are hardworking, dependable, and eager to contribute to the hotel's high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction. Utility Cleaners are responsible for a variety of cleaning and support tasks that ensure fresh linens and spotless dining ware are consistently available for guests. This includes operating and maintaining equipment like dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, and laundry washers and dryers.

The position demands physical endurance and the ability to safely handle tasks such as lifting, moving, and transporting items that weigh up to 50 pounds without assistance. Utility Cleaners actively support the team by adhering to safety protocols, company policies, and quality standards to create a safe and productive workplace. Job Duties

  • prepare fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests to enjoy
  • operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools such as dish washing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers and dryers
  • transport dishware or linens across the hotel
  • create a safe workplace by following company policies and procedures
  • uphold quality standards in all cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • maintain professional uniform, personal appearance, and communication
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
