Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a renowned, family-owned company that operates more than 60 communities nationwide, dedicated to providing seniors with a resort-style living environment that emphasizes respect, kindness, and service excellence. With a strong commitment to core values such as Respect, Honesty, Kindness, Compassion, and Service Excellence, RLC creates an atmosphere where both employees and residents thrive in a supportive, close-knit community. The company is driven by four essential goals that epitomize its successful approach: Happy Employees, Happy Residents, Full Occupancy, and On-Budget Operations. These goals foster an engaging and positive workplace culture that ultimately benefits the senior residents served every day.
As a Utility Buffet Server at Resort Lifestyle Communities, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our residents by not just serving meals but by embracing a service role filled with warmth and attentiveness. This role is part of a collaborative team environment that encourages sharing ideas, responding constructively to feedback, and fostering a culture of care and community. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about making a genuine difference in the lives of seniors and want to be part of a mission-driven organization that values servant leadership and personal growth.
This position involves direct interaction with residents and guests during meal times, focusing on providing excellent service in a buffet-style dining setting. As a Utility Buffet Server, you will welcome residents and guests with warmth, present menu options clearly, take accurate orders, and tailor portion sizes to meet individual needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, attending to the exhibition line to ensure it remains visually appealing, and handling kitchen equipment safely, including pizza ovens and sharp tools, for which the minimum age requirement is 18 years or older. Your professionalism in responding to feedback, addressing concerns promptly, and escalating issues when necessary will contribute to a positive dining environment.
No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers who want to gain valuable real-world experience. Additionally, this role operates Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, fitting well with those seeking part-time opportunities. The company supports employees in securing necessary food handler permits as required by local regulations, ensuring compliance and safety standards are always met. RLC offers a supportive leadership team and a purpose-driven environment where each employee's role has a meaningful impact. Benefits include pay on demand, employee discounts, and an inclusive workplace that fosters growth and career development. By joining RLC, you join a community where your servant heart can shine, and your contributions are genuinely valued.
