This role is hourly paid at $19.12 per hour with an additional $0.50 shift differential, offering varying start and end times. The position is situated in Indianapolis, Indiana, with an anticipated close date for applications on May 11, 2026. Working onsite is a key requirement as it involves operating and maintaining production equipment in food processing environments that adhere to strict safety and quality standards. Employees in this role are essential to upholding Conagra Brands’ high standards for safe, quality food production. Responsibilities include starting up, operating, sanitizing, and maintaining machinery related to production processing activities such as dough preparation, fillings, and shutdown protocols. The role emphasizes rigorous compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), reflecting Conagra’s commitment to food safety and workplace safety. Daily duties require mastery of various certifications, ongoing skills assessments, and sometimes working overtime to meet production targets. The position reports directly to the line team lead and requires the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Physical demands include standing for up to seven hours per day, lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, and performing repetitive motions associated with food production.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience working in a food processing or packaging environment preferred
  • experience working in an automated machinery environment preferred
  • experience in USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP compliant environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate behaviors to support company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries
  • support quality work processes
  • follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • maintain mastery on all certified skills through ongoing skills audits and rotation
  • startup, operate, maintain, sanitize and monitor equipment and machinery for production processing of fillings, dough and shutdown procedures
  • receive additional training to perform responsibilities
  • perform responsibilities to maintain schedules, quality, and workplace safety
  • perform other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader or Line Lead
  • work overtime to achieve production and maintenance schedules
  • report to the line team lead
