Team Members at KFC are cross-trained to perform various functions including working at the Front Counter, Drive-Thru, and in the kitchen as a Cook. As a Team Member, your responsibilities include welcoming guests warmly with a positive attitude, taking accurate orders quickly, processing payments efficiently, and ensuring food is served fresh and meets KFC’s quality standards. You will be expected to follow strict hygiene protocols, safety procedures, and maintenance of equipment, contributing to a clean and organized restaurant environment. Additionally, you will actively participate in team collaboration to meet shift goals and support other restaurant areas as necessary.

Guest service excellence is a cornerstone of this position, requiring every Team Member to greet customers within seconds of their arrival, engage politely, and use suggestive selling techniques to promote menu items. Upselling is an integral part of the role and directly impacts the restaurant’s overall performance. Team Members also must maintain professionalism during busy periods and close every interaction with genuine appreciation for the guest’s business.

Job Duties

  • Take accurate orders, process payments, and ensure prompt service

  • Prepare and assemble food according to KFC standards and procedures
  • Follow all holding times, portion controls, and product rotation standards
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Follow handwashing and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Maintain clean work areas including lobby, kitchen, restrooms, and exterior
  • Complete cleaning tasks and checklists as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
  • Follow waste management and recycling procedures
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet shift goals
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers
  • Support other areas of the restaurant as needed
