The Usher Escalator Greeter position within ASM Global's Guest Services Department offers a unique opportunity to be the face of the company during exciting and energetic events hosted at premier venues like the Caesars Superdome and Smoothie King Center. This hourly, non-exempt role is critical in managing the flow of guests as they access escalators, ensuring their safety and comfort while providing friendly and informative interaction. Responsibilities include greeting guests enthusiastically as they board escalators, monitoring crowd movement to prevent congestion, and assisting patrons with directions to their seating areas. The position also requires vigilance in preventing guests from using escalators that are temporarily out of service due to mechanical faults or emergencies.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
must be at least 18 years of age
1-2 years customer service experience required
must successfully pass a criminal background check
excellent communication skills
able to read and understand written English
able to stand for long periods of time, up to 6 hours, and the ability to climb stairs
able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

Greet guests and regulate the flow of guests onto the escalators
engage and interact with guests
offer assistance to guests who may need help locating their seat
monitor the ingress and egress of the escalators
prevent guests from using escalators that are shut down due to mechanical or emergency issues
provide general directions and information to guests
perform all other duties as assigned
