Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a fresh production department
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Successful completion of all required job trainings and assessments within prescribed time
- Ability to comply with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Capability to operate and sanitize equipment safely
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Adherence to Walmart’s drug-free workplace policy
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a fresh production department
- Knowledge of meat cutting and processing techniques
- Ability to operate and maintain meat processing equipment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for training and customer service
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Capability to use handheld technology for business decisions
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to company policies and ethical standards
Job Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate associates on tools and resources
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations
- Process meat products according to specifications including cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management
- Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- Utilize digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and enhance associate engagement
- Drive business results by planning for profitability, maintaining operational excellence, controlling waste, and securing merchandise
- Serve as a talent ambassador by training and mentoring associates and modeling high-quality service practices
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards
- Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and coworkers, communicating progress, and addressing improvement opportunities
- Embrace diversity and foster a culture of belonging and teamwork
- Uphold Walmart’s values by acting with integrity and prioritizing customer and member satisfaction
- Drive continuous improvement and adapt to changing technologies and processes
