The Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead plays a vital role at Sam's Club by overseeing the prepared foods operations and providing leadership to hourly associates responsible for creating and serving meals to members.   • Ability to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period

Job Duties

  • Supervises the team within all prepared foods departments facilitating rotations and managing member needs to deliver on the business plan
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of business, production, sanitation, safety, and compliance standards
  • Manages seasonality in production by prioritizing tasks and understanding new products and processes
  • Collaborates with associates and third-party partners to ensure resources and training are provided
  • Leverages digital tools to plan sales, improve shopping experience and elevate associate engagement
  • Drives business results by maintaining operational excellence, staffing levels, merchandise displays, and compliance standards
  • Teaches, trains, and mentors team members to develop skills, encourage growth, and source new talent internally and externally
