Sam's Club is a leading membership-only retail warehouse club known for offering high-quality products at competitive prices to members nationwide. As a division of Walmart Inc., the company leverages its extensive network and operational excellence to provide an exceptional shopping experience. Sam's Club focuses on fresh food, groceries, electronics, and household items, catering especially to families and business owners who value convenience, savings, and quality. With a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and ethical business practices, Sam's Club has positioned itself as a trusted retailer that prioritizes its members and employees alike. As part of Walmart's ecosystem, associates enjoy access to comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
The Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead role at Sam's Club is a pivotal position responsible for driving sales within the prepared foods sector. This includes managing fresh food areas such as café, rotisserie, and other prepared meals sections. This leadership role requires supervising and inspiring a team of hourly associates who prepare and serve meals, aiming to deliver an exceptional member experience with high-quality, affordable options. The Department Lead collaborates closely with other team leaders to meet and exceed the club’s objectives, ensuring excellent operational standards and customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will be a hands-on team leader, driving the department’s success by coordinating rotations through diverse fresh food areas, managing inventory and production schedules, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. You will play an expert role in maintaining food quality, sanitation, equipment usage, and safety standards, while continuously innovating and adapting to seasonal menu changes and new product introductions. Your ability to utilize digital and handheld technologies will be integral to planning sales strategies, improving the shopping experience, and enhancing associate engagement. We emphasize ownership of the business, from operational excellence and merchandising to staffing and audit compliance, as well as collaboration with third parties such as suppliers and maintenance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
As a talent ambassador, you will coach and develop your team to deliver outstanding food products and service, supporting their career growth and fostering internal and external talent acquisition. Communication and integrity are fundamental, as you will implement company policies, uphold ethical standards, and lead by example in promoting a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusion. At Sam's Club, we value associates who are curious, resilient, and eager to learn, open to new technologies and continuous improvement, and committed to serving our customers and members with excellence.
This position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $22.50 to $30.50, with additional premiums depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Sam’s Club also provides a well-rounded benefits package including medical, dental, vision, financial benefits like 401(k) and stock purchase options, paid time off, military leave pay, company discounts, and educational benefits through Live Better U, which covers tuition, books, and fees for various educational programs. The role is located at 7 Walmart Blvd, Hudson, NH 03051-5248, and requires candidates to successfully complete job-required trainings, be at least 18 years old, and conform to the company’s drug-free workplace policy. Joining Sam’s Club means becoming part of a respected team dedicated to making a positive impact for associates, members, and the community while advancing your career in a thriving retail environment.
