Known for its commitment to customer satisfaction, quality products, and a comprehensive shopping experience, Sam's Club operates nationwide as part of the Walmart family of companies. Their mission is to help members save money and live better by offering high-quality goods and services conveniently and efficiently. The company prides itself on maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for both customers and employees, fostering a culture where associates are valued and supported to grow and thrive.

The position available at Sam's Club involves working within the liquor sales area, encompassing a broad range of responsibilities critical to both customer service and operational excellence. This role requires upholding rigorous safety standards, ensuring a secure facility by adhering to all safety procedures including conducting safety sweeps and following proper forklift spotting and steel standard guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining merchandise presentation, which involves stocking, organizing displays, pricing, signing merchandise, managing damaged goods, and securing high-shrink and fragile merchandise. A strong emphasis is placed on providing exceptional member service by accurately identifying member needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and promoting the company’s diverse products and services.

The position requires proficiency in operating hardware such as cash registers to process member transactions, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges while ensuring adherence to the appropriate procedures for memberships and payment types. The role also involves reducing shrink by maintaining register supplies and diligently following policies to identify concealed merchandise, supporting the company’s commitment to loss prevention.

Adherence to legal requirements surrounding liquor sales is paramount, including securing merchandise, verifying member identification, maintaining accurate signage, and completing necessary documentation. The role embodies Walmart’s core values such as Respect the Individual, which encourages embracing diversity, fostering a culture of belonging, teamwork, and mentoring; Act with Integrity by demonstrating honesty, fairness, and transparency while holding oneself and others accountable; Serve our Customers and Members by making decisions that balance short and long-term priorities and deliver results focused on customer satisfaction; and Strive for Excellence by nurturing curiosity, resilience, and continuous improvement.

Sam's Club offers competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $26.00 per hour, with potential additional compensation via premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. The company takes pride in offering an attractive benefits package including health benefits with medical, vision, and dental coverage; financial benefits such as 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance; generous paid time off including parental leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting; plus a variety of other benefits like disability insurance, company discounts, military leave pay, and adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement. Additionally, the Live Better U program enables associates to pursue education at no cost, covering programs from high school completion to bachelor degrees and certificates.
