The company emphasizes a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence, fostering an environment where associates are valued and empowered. Through innovative technologies and collaborative teamwork, Sam's Club continues to enhance the shopping experience and overall member satisfaction.
The role of Cake Decorator at Sam's Club is integral to delivering exceptional bakery products that meet and exceed member expectations. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for producing beautifully decorated bakery items that not only look appealing but also maintain high quality and food safety standards. This position calls for someone who enjoys working creatively with various decorating tools such as decorating bags, tips, and nozzles to produce flowers, lettering, and other decorations on cakes and bakery items. The role involves planning bakery production schedules to ensure consistent quality and availability, adhering strictly to recipe measurements and instructions.
Apart from the hands-on decorating responsibilities, the Cake Decorator collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain inventory accuracy, control shrinkage, and support overall business needs. Utilizing digital tools is an important aspect of the role, helping to drive sales and improve member experience through efficient production and merchandise ordering. The Cake Decorator also plays an important role in member engagement by understanding and addressing their preferences and concerns in the bakery department, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
This position requires upholding the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cold chain compliance while operating and maintaining bakery equipment. As a team-oriented role, the Cake Decorator is expected to contribute to training and mentoring associates, fostering a respectful and supportive work environment aligned with Walmart’s values and culture. The role also involves proactive participation in seasonal event preparations that impact bakery volume such as holidays and graduations.
Sam's Club offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.00 to $27.00, supplemented by performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. The company champions work-life balance and offers paid time off including parental leave, family care leave, and paid sick leave. Additional benefits include medical, vision, and dental insurance, 401(k) plans, stock purchase programs, company-paid life insurance, as well as unique perks like adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement. Associates also have access to Live Better U, an education benefit program that supports academic achievements, from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees.
In this role, commitment to Sam's Club’s core values such as acting with integrity, serving customers and members diligently, and striving for excellence is essential. The company promotes a inclusive and diverse workplace where associates feel respected and connected, fostering an environment that supports both personal and professional growth. By joining Sam's Club as a Cake Decorator, you become part of a team dedicated to creating memorable bakery experiences for members while advancing your career in a supportive and innovative setting.
