The position of Cake Decorator at Sam's Club is a vital role within the bakery department focused on delivering high-quality decorated bakery products while ensuring excellent member service. This role requires an individual who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and other associates to maintain bakery standards and exceed member expectations. A Cake Decorator will be responsible for managing bakery production planning, demonstrating expertise in decorative techniques like using piping bags, tips, and nozzles to create visually appealing cakes and bakery items, adhering strictly to food safety protocols, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management principles. This role also involves using digital tools and handheld technologies to support production decisions, merchandise ordering, training, and maintaining the quality of bakery products.

Further, the Cake Decorator plays an ownership role by actively driving bakery department performance through quality control and waste reduction, preparing for high-volume periods tied to seasonal events, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and addressing any member-related concerns promptly and professionally. As a talent ambassador, the Cake Decorator advocates for the Sam's Club brand by modeling excellent service and quality, mentoring team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and supporting business processes through consistent application of company policies and ethics. Sam's Club offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $19.00 to $27.00 per hour, with additional performance-based bonuses and premium pay for specific conditions and work performed.
