The role of Associate Director, Manufacturing Value Stream, at HelloFresh, is a senior leadership position within the global value stream team. This role acts as a subject matter expert and the global liaison for operational process verticals in the manufacturing sector of HelloFresh's worldwide supply chain. The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of their assigned capability domain, from developing process design and aligning technology strategies to leading global deployment and driving continuous operational improvements. This role combines deep operational knowledge with strategic planning and cross-functional leadership to standardize global processes and enhance efficiency across international markets. It requires collaborating closely with operational leaders, product engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive process adoption and governance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8-12 years of professional experience in supply chain, operations, or fulfillment
  • Experience managing multi-site or multi-country operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and operational technology
  • Proven ability to execute strategic process improvements
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in problem-solving methodologies
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25 percent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or fulfillment including multi-site or multi-country exposure
  • Proven expertise in at least one supply chain functional domain and strong knowledge of adjacent areas
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams including performance management and talent development
  • Deep familiarity with WMS, WES, WCS, and operational technology ecosystems
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and adoption of global process standards at scale
  • Track record of leading process transformation or major capability rollouts from design through sustained operation
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
  • Experience with lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous improvement frameworks
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent

Job Duties

  • Develop the foundational to-be end-to-end process design and global template for one or more operational verticals, ensuring harmonization and alignment across all international markets
  • Collaborate with and influence operational leaders across the organization to drive consensus and adoption of standardized global processes
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to translate global process designs into clear technology strategies, supporting prioritization of development roadmaps
  • Support the establishment of operational governance and deviation control by providing domain expertise and influencing the management of market-specific exceptions
  • Perform cross-market maturity assessments and apply structured problem-solving to identify and close performance gaps using a standardized global approach
  • Track and analyze capability-level KPIs and performance benchmarks, collaborating with Finance and Analytics to quantify business impacts of standardization initiatives
  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including regional, product, and technology teams to support the global value stream mission and end customer experience
  • Support the team’s contribution to company strategy and department OKRs, ensuring consistent execution and reporting within the capability domain
