The Senior Regional Director, Operations position is a pivotal leadership role within HelloFresh, offering the opportunity to oversee and develop supply chain and fulfillment operations across multiple sites supporting the meal kit business. The role demands multi-site operational ownership, strategic planning, and execution to optimize operations and ensure seamless delivery of products to customers.

Located in key US hubs such as Newark, NJ; Irving, TX; and Phoenix, AZ, this position requires extensive travel (approximately 75% of the time) to various locations within the region to manage and support field operations. The Senior Regional Director works closely with site leadership teams, including Site Directors, and collaborates with diverse internal departments such as Finance, People, Network Planning, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement to drive operational excellence and innovative practices across fulfillment centers.

This leader is responsible for managing key performance indicators relevant to business success, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and quality, and guiding employees through change in a dynamic, high-growth environment. The role emphasizes building strong teams, coaching talent, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as OSHA, GMP, SQF, FSMA, and HACCP. A customer-focused mindset is paramount, aiming to deliver the highest quality product while driving operational efficiencies and cost reductions.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $195,000 to $221,000 USD, eligibility for the HelloFresh equity plan, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 15+ years of experience managing multi-unit facility operations
  • Experience in Food, Beverage, e-commerce fulfillment, or distribution center settings
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, SQF, FSMA, HACCP regulations
  • Experience with continuous improvement and lean methodologies
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Availability to work weekends and/or night shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required - Master’s preferred
  • 15+ years of experience managing multi-unit facility operations in a Food/Beverage/e-commerce fulfillment/distribution center setting
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification (preferred)
  • Progressive supply chain leadership roles
  • Demonstrated ability to enforce metrics that drive efficiency, measure performance and reduce costs
  • Strong strategic thinking skills coupled with demonstrated ability to be hands-on and tactical
  • Demonstrated record of team building, mentoring and change management
  • Motivated, developed and managed multi-unit centers consisting of 500+ employees in each center
  • Strong knowledge of demand management, labor planning, forecasting tools, and operations planning
  • Familiarity with FSMA, HACCP, SQF
  • Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing etc. to drive improvement
  • Excitement for working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity and change
  • Values-driven leadership style to guide and develop a team in alignment with the company’s culture and business goals
  • Flexibility to work weekends and/or night shifts

Job Duties

  • Have multi-unit facility oversight with the responsibility of all budgetary and operational aspects of each location
  • Travel 75% of the time to multiple locations within your region
  • Manage field Senior Leadership including Site Director and teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Finance, People, Network Planning, Engineering and Continuous Improvement to drive innovation across field DCs
  • Manage key metrics and KPIs relevant to the business and operational excellence
  • Skillfully manage the demands of a dynamic, high-growth environment and lead both corporate and field employees through change initiatives
  • Create a fun and engaging work environment to enable all employees to feel connected to the company’s vision and values
