The Senior Operations Manager at HelloFresh plays a critical role in driving the culture and managing day-to-day operations of a high-volume preparation, cooking, plating production kitchen, and fulfillment center. This senior leadership position works directly with the Director of Operations to develop and lead the operational strategy for HelloFresh's flagship production and fulfillment center. The role involves overseeing daily operational logistics, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture for over 100 employees, mentoring leadership teams, and spearheading continuous operational improvements.
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for building a strong leadership pipeline by coaching and developing talent across functional areas within fulfillment. Collaboration is key, as this role requires building trust and credibility with peers and direct reports while ensuring product quality and meeting key performance indicators and financial metrics. Additionally, the position acts as a vital liaison between the site operation, kitchen, research and development teams, and other headquarters functions to align priorities and initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery, and cultivate a positive team dynamic that promotes accountability, adaptability, and engagement among employees.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years management experience in industrial kitchen or production operations
- familiarity with FSMA, HACCP, SQF
- ability to think strategically and communicate at executive level
- demonstrated leadership managing 100+ employees
- knowledge of Lean and Agile production
- availability to work weekends and/or night shifts
- high level of integrity and ethics
- strong continuous improvement skills
- excitement for working in dynamic environments
- willingness to adapt to changing business needs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of management experience in industrial kitchen or production operations, preferably food service or food production
- ability to think strategically and communicate at executive level
- top-notch organizational skills and attention to detail
- familiarity with FSMA, HACCP, SQF
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
- Spanish proficiency preferred
- demonstrated ability to motivate and manage 100+ employees
- deep knowledge of Lean and Agile production
- comprehensive background in prepping, cooking, plating, food safety and fulfillment
- proven success delivering new product initiatives in large and start-up environments
Job Duties
- Build and establish a strong team with a leadership pipeline
- coach and develop talent within each functional area of fulfillment
- develop trust, credibility, effective and collaborative relationships with Factor_ peers and direct reports
- work with managers to execute final production scheduling
- ensure product quality of the department
- act as liaison between site operation, kitchen, R&D and headquarters functions to identify key site priorities
- lead production area continuous improvement initiatives
- develop high standards for KPI and financial metric execution
- ensure communication of company goals and priorities to production team
- lead monthly team meetings to engage and inspire workforce
- drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery
- create a positive team dynamic encouraging feedback, positive change, adaptability, accountability to brand and culture
