The Medical Assistant will also be involved in phlebotomy, medication administration, and specimen collection such as nose swabs, including those for COVID-19 concerns. Additional responsibilities encompass restocking exam rooms, communicating lab results to patients, processing referrals and authorizations, and supporting the front desk and administrative functions periodically.

Banner Health encourages lifelong learning and professional advancement, offering employees educational benefits such as a 20% discount at Weber State University’s hybrid online PTR program, aimed at helping staff obtain a Patient Treatment Representative license in just two semesters. The employer emphasizes a culture of teamwork and service orientation, ensuring an optimal environment for both patient care and employee satisfaction.

The hourly pay for this position ranges from $21.01 to $31.51, commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and geographical considerations. Banner Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to pay equity and maintains a drug-free work environment. Applicants with active Medical Assistant certifications, such as RMA, CMA, CCMA, or NCMA, and Basic Life Support certification are preferred. This role requires strong computer proficiency for handling medical software and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, providers, and the healthcare team.
