Aramark at Rocket Arena is currently seeking an Upscale Food Runner for the upcoming 2025-26 Cleveland Cavaliers season at a newly opening all-inclusive fine dining club. This position plays a key role within the front-of-house team, acting as the vital link between the kitchen and the dining room. As an Upscale Food Runner, you will be responsible for ensuring all food and beverage orders are delivered to guests promptly, accurately, and with impeccable presentation that meets the highest standards of a premium dining establishment. Your role will involve careful attention to detail when inspecting dishes before they leave the kitchen, ensuring each plate is correctly garnished and free from imperfections. You will be expected to announce dishes to guests with a brief description of the components and preparation, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The ideal candidate possesses a keen sense of urgency, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch service in a fast-paced, elegant environment. You will collaborate closely with kitchen staff such as chefs and expeditors as well as service staff including servers and bartenders to maintain seamless communication and exceptional service. Responsibilities also extend to supporting servers by managing the pace of meal service and assisting with table setup and clearing. Adherence to food safety and sanitation standards is crucial. This role requires physical stamina to handle prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting, and carrying trays. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food running or similar role preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff
- Physical capability to handle prolonged standing, walking, and carrying heavy trays
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment is strongly preferred

Job Duties
- Serve as the final point of quality control for all dishes leaving the kitchen
- Ensure each plate is properly garnished, free of imperfections, and meets the restaurant's high standards for presentation
- Deliver food orders to the correct guests and tables in a timely and professional manner, using proper carrying techniques
- Announce each dish to the guest, briefly describing the components and preparation method
- Address any special guest requests or dietary restrictions, ensuring they are communicated effectively to the kitchen
- Maintain a clear and constant line of communication with both the kitchen staff (Expeditor, Chef) and the service team (Servers, Bartenders)
- Act as a liaison to relay any guest feedback, concerns, or special instructions to the appropriate team members
