UNT Dining Services, a division within the UNT Student Affairs department, is the largest self-supported food service entity in North Texas. The introduction of Eagle Landing, a modern urban food hall-style dining concept with seven distinct restaurant options accessible with a single meal plan swipe, exemplifies the department's innovative spirit.
The Food Service Supervisor position at UNT Dining’s Bruceteria campus dining facility plays a critical role in managing daily operations to maintain food quality, service excellence, cleanliness, and safety. This full-time role is vital for maintaining the dynamic and welcoming environment desired by students, faculty, and staff, ensuring compliance with university policies and health regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing and motivating staff, coordinating daily workflow, managing inventory, enforcing safety standards, and supporting training initiatives. Salary for this position is commensurate with experience, with full retirement eligibility under the Teacher Retirement System (TRS).
Qualified candidates for the Food Service Supervisor role should demonstrate strong leadership ability, organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Supervisory experience in high-volume food production settings, proficiency with standardized recipes and inventory control, and knowledge of food safety regulations are essential. This position requires ServSafe food safety certification or the ability to obtain it within six months. The role involves physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds and moving throughout the work site. Working hours may vary, and the position is designated as security sensitive.
