Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • two years of experience in institutional or commercial food preparation including one year supervisory experience
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • ability to follow instructions
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • capacity to train staff
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to work varying hours
  • security sensitive position

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • two years of experience in institutional or commercial food preparation
  • one year of supervisory experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • strong organizational skills
  • basic math proficiency
  • experience with standardized recipes and high-volume food production
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • positive attitude and team orientation
  • strong work ethic and reliability

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the dining facility
  • supervise and support dining staff
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • maintain food quality and presentation standards
  • oversee inventory management and ordering processes
  • coordinate staff training and development
  • uphold university policies and customer service excellence
