Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in environmental services in health care, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
- High school diploma or equivalent or substitution of one year experience for diploma
- Ability to respond to emergency spill cleanup calls
- Ability to transport patients safely
- Willingness to undergo respiratory fit testing
- Commitment to professional behavior and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One-year experience in environmental services in health care, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
- Prior hospital experience in environmental services preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
Job Duties
- Performs cleaning duties in assigned areas daily according to standard operating and approved infection control procedures
- Demonstrates ownership for responsibilities in assigned zone and other designated areas
- Demonstrates accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic, teamwork, and effective communication skills
- If assigned, locates, visually inspects, tests functionality, and cleans patient equipment
- Responds to emergency calls for spill cleanup in assigned areas
- Transports patients safely to and from designated areas
- Picks up and delivers unit specimens, items, and supplies as needed
