Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in environmental services in health care, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
  • High school diploma or equivalent or substitution of one year experience for diploma
  • Ability to respond to emergency spill cleanup calls
  • Ability to transport patients safely
  • Willingness to undergo respiratory fit testing
  • Commitment to professional behavior and teamwork

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One-year experience in environmental services in health care, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
  • Prior hospital experience in environmental services preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures

Job Duties

  • Performs cleaning duties in assigned areas daily according to standard operating and approved infection control procedures
  • Demonstrates ownership for responsibilities in assigned zone and other designated areas
  • Demonstrates accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic, teamwork, and effective communication skills
  • If assigned, locates, visually inspects, tests functionality, and cleans patient equipment
  • Responds to emergency calls for spill cleanup in assigned areas
  • Transports patients safely to and from designated areas
  • Picks up and delivers unit specimens, items, and supplies as needed
