The role of Unit Food Safety Manager at SodexoMagic is a critical position designed to support a pharmaceutical client across multiple locations. The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing food safety programs across seven distinct sites, ensuring adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards consistently at all times. This position requires a knowledgeable subject matter expert who not only enforces compliance but also educates site teams on the importance of proper food safety practices, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include regular site visits, comprehensive audits, risk assessments, and hands-on involvement with site teams to identify potential Food Safety hazards and implement effective corrective actions. The Unit Food Safety Manager will also develop and deliver training programs aimed at increasing understanding of food safety principles and the rationale behind them, enhancing team engagement and performance. Strong communication and training skills are essential, as the role demands collaboration with site leadership to drive a food safety culture that meets regulatory requirements and company standards. Job Requirements

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in food safety, food science, hospitality, or related field
  • Proven experience in food safety management across multiple locations or large-scale operations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and audit processes
  • Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities in a dynamic environment

Job Qualifications

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in food safety, food science, hospitality, or related field
  • Proven experience in food safety management across multiple locations or large-scale operations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and audit processes
  • Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
  • Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to influence and educate teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Spanish-speaking skills strongly preferred with the ability to effectively communicate and train diverse teams across multiple locations

Job Duties

  • Conduct routine site visits across 7 locations to audit food safety practices and ensure compliance with standards
  • Oversee food safety processes including temperature control, storage, sanitation, cooling/holding procedures, and quality control
  • Perform risk assessments and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across all sites
  • Lead monthly and annual food safety audits, ensuring readiness and compliance at all times
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate teams on food safety standards and the 'why' behind them
  • Partner with site leadership to implement corrective actions and strengthen overall food safety culture
