The position of Unit Receptionist (UR) within Montage Health is a critical role focused on enhancing patient experience by efficiently managing scheduling, pre-registration, and communication. Reporting directly to the department office supervisor, the UR acts as the initial point of contact for patients, assuring that upcoming services are coordinated smoothly and without delays. This role demands attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing physician orders, scheduling therapies accurately, and providing patients with clear and accurate instructions regarding their appointments. The Unit Receptionist also verifies insurance details and ensures authorization is secured for worker's compensation and state and county programs. Proficiency in data entry and computer technology is essential to maintain up-to-date and accurate patient information. The role requires organizing therapist and physician schedules to optimize time and resource utilization, thereby improving workflow efficiency. This per diem position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $35.36 to $47.32 based on experience, with additional shift differentials available for evening and night shifts. Work hours vary between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, supporting flexible scheduling needs. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • at least 1 year clerical experience in a healthcare setting

Job Duties
