Job Description
Summerlin Hospital is a well-established 496-bed healthcare facility located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Renowned for its comprehensive emergency services, the hospital features a busy maternity unit averaging 450 deliveries per month, along with a Children's Medical Center that houses a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and a separate pediatric emergency room. Summerlin Hospital is recognized for its advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health programs, and oncology care, distinguished as an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a designated Primary Stroke Center. The position available is responsible for supporting the nursing unit through clerical, receptionist, and patient care duties as outlined by state regulations. This role includes assisting with organizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing unit activities, ensuring efficient operations, and delivering quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Nevada with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, possess basic PC knowledge, and understand medical terminology. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the safety and comfort of patients, supporting nursing staff, and contributing to the overall success of the hospital’s healthcare delivery. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of education/experience necessary to obtain CNA certification from Nevada Board of Nursing
- Current CNA license in the State of Nevada
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Basic PC knowledge
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to provide care/service appropriate to the age of patients served on the assigned unit/department
