UNIQLO is a globally recognized retail company known for its high-quality, innovative clothing and customer-centric store environment. As part of the Fast Retailing family, UNIQLO has established itself as a leader in the retail clothing industry, committed to providing customers with outstanding service and maintaining inviting shopping spaces. Their stores are characterized by a clean, well-organized layout that enhances the shopping experience, showcasing apparel in a way that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. This commitment to cleanliness and order is vital to the brand’s identity and customer satisfaction.
The Housekeeper plays a critical role in upholding UNIQLO’s brand standards by ensuring all areas of the store, including the showroom floor, fitting rooms, restrooms, break room, and other shared spaces, are kept immaculate and welcoming. This full-time position offers between 32 to 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between the hours of 7 AM and 9 PM. Each shift is 8 hours long with a one-hour unpaid meal break. The hourly pay is competitive at $18.50, reflecting the importance UNIQLO places on the role.
In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing thorough cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, polishing floors, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store to meet operational standards. You will be expected to manage restroom sanitation, including replenishing supplies, cleaning toilets and sinks, and emptying trash receptacles to meet health standards. The role also involves maintaining fitting rooms, clearing and restocking common areas, and preparing meeting rooms for events, ensuring that the store environment promotes a positive shopping experience and a safe workplace.
The role demands a detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team. Housekeepers at UNIQLO also contribute ideas during team meetings, helping improve overall store cleanliness and operational efficiency. The position requires the use of standard housekeeping tools such as ladders, vacuums, brooms, mops, pushcarts, and hand trucks, emphasizing physical capability and attention to detail.
Beyond the day-to-day cleaning duties, the Housekeeper embodies the brand’s values through a positive attitude, organizational skills, and a self-motivated work ethic. The company supports a diverse and inclusive workplace, valuing each employee’s contributions and maintaining equal opportunity employment policies. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off (PTO), and sick days, offering a comprehensive package for full-time employees, contributing to overall job satisfaction and work-life balance.
