As part of the Hyatt brand family, the company operates a vast portfolio of properties, offering a variety of vacation experiences to its members and guests worldwide. Hyatt Vacation Ownership prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace that values diversity, innovation, and operational excellence. The company is dedicated to sustaining an engaging and supportive culture where employees at all levels can thrive and grow their careers within the hospitality industry. Hyatt Vacation Ownership offers competitive compensation and benefits, and as a fulltime member of its team, you can expect a rewarding and professional working environment. The position of Union Dishwasher / Utility is a fulltime, regular employment opportunity with an hourly wage of $23.83, available for 1st and 2nd shift schedules. Notably, a U S driving license is not required for this role, which underscores the focus on operational duties within the hospitality setting rather than travel or driving responsibilities.

The Union Dishwasher / Utility team member plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and order of the kitchen and associated work areas in compliance with union standards, safety regulations, and company policies. This role supports the entire kitchen staff by ensuring that all dishware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly washed and sanitized, whether by hand or through dishwashing machines. Beyond dishwashing, the role entails maintaining the overall cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and work surfaces to promote a hygienic and safe cooking environment. Operating and properly maintaining dishwashing equipment is also a critical responsibility. The dishwasher / utility team member is tasked with managing waste appropriately, including garbage and recycling disposal in alignment with health and safety guidelines. Restocking clean dishes and kitchen supplies ensures the kitchen functions efficiently without delays. The role also includes providing basic assistance to kitchen staff with prep work, supporting the flow of kitchen operations during busy periods.

Key attributes for success in this position include strong attention to cleanliness and detail, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The job demands physical stamina, as the role requires standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items such as trays and equipment. Working conditions involve exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals, as well as performing repetitive motions and bending tasks. The dishwasher / utility team member must follow all established company and union policies, ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, and adhere to scheduled breaks and overtime rules. This role is essential in maintaining an orderly and safe kitchen environment that meets both operational and regulatory standards. Joining Hyatt Vacation Ownership means being part of a dedicated team focused on delivering excellent hospitality through a clean and well-maintained kitchen operation, an invaluable contribution to the guest experience.
