Job Description
Atlantic Pipe Services is a reputable company established in 2017, specializing in underground drainage and trenchless pipeline solutions. Over the years, the company has grown rapidly, expanding its footprint across the Southeast, while prioritizing innovation, reliability, and employee satisfaction. APS stands out in the industry by fostering a culture centered on professional growth, teamwork, and a commitment to quality service. Employees benefit from competitive compensation packages, ongoing professional development opportunities, and working conditions that favor minimal travel, enabling them to maintain a healthy work-life balance by being home every night. The company’s headquarters in the Southeast serves as a hub for advanced pipeline services, including large diameter pipeline cleaning, video inspection, and rehabilitation.
The role of Commercial Diver at Atlantic Pipe Services is a dynamic and engaging position based out of the Bonita Springs/Ft. Myers site. This is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.00 to $40.00, depending on experience and qualifications. The typical work schedule is primarily during day shifts from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional nights, weekends, and out-of-town assignments as needed, offering a balance of routine and variety.
The Commercial Diver’s responsibilities are varied and critical to the success of APS’s operations. Candidates will work underwater to inspect, repair, or install equipment within submerged environments. This involves the installation and removal of large diameter pipe plugs as well as performing pipeline dredging to remove debris and ensure clear, operational pipes. The role requires the assessment of pipeline conditions by navigating submerged pipes, often in confined and challenging settings. Excellent record-keeping skills are essential for maintaining daily logs and tracking job site progress and encountered issues.
In addition to technical diving skills, this position calls for a leadership mindset: supervising and training helpers to support project completion efficiently and safely. Candidates must be comfortable executing physical tasks in outdoor and sometimes unpredictable weather conditions, including heavy lifting. This role suits candidates with a strong sense of professionalism, reliability, and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
Atlantic Pipe Services insists on a clean driving history and relevant medical and diving certifications for all candidates to ensure safety and compliance. The company emphasizes a drug-free and equal employment environment, upholding inclusivity and fairness in hiring practices through stringent background checks and adherence to all applicable laws. Employees are supported with comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, and referral incentives.
In joining Atlantic Pipe Services as a Commercial Diver, applicants become part of an innovative company dedicated to technical excellence and employee growth. The role offers an exciting blend of underwater technical challenges, leadership opportunities, and community-focused company values, making it a rewarding career path for motivated and skilled divers looking to advance their professional journey within the pipeline services industry.
