Job Requirements
- Must pass a post offer physical and drug test
- Must pass a background check
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
- Ability to work rotating shifts including day and night shifts up to 12 hours or more
- Willingness to live on-site at company provided camp during work rotations
- Ability to work in extreme weather and environmental conditions
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
Job Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Experience in underground hard rock mining techniques preferred but not essential
- Experience operating heavy equipment preferred but not essential
- Construction, labor or farming background preferred
- Good communication skills including ability to read and speak English
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to provide leadership and training to new team members preferred
- Good comprehension of safe operating procedures, safety rules, policies, and emergency procedures
- Knowledge of MSHA requirements
Job Duties
- Operate underground haul trucks safely and efficiently
- Transport ore and waste to designated locations
- Record haulage movements accurately
- Work on service or construction crews
- Minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity
- Perform general laboring and housekeeping tasks
- Communicate effectively on two-way radios
- Conduct safety checks, hazard identifications, and incident reporting
- Assist with fault finding and preventative maintenance
- Assess and monitor ground conditions
- Perform scaling according to site requirements
- Execute other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor
