The role of the Unassigned General Manager at Einstein Bros. Bagels is both challenging and rewarding, offering applicants the opportunity to take full ownership of store operations with a leadership philosophy centered around "treat it like you own it." As a General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the store’s day-to-day functions, from the early morning first bake starting as early as 4am, ensuring the store is audit-ready, to managing catering, mobile, and in-store orders. The position demands a hands-on approach, with leaders actively floating between all stations during busy breakfast and lunch rushes to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction. Administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and ordering are typically completed outside of busy hours, providing a balanced workflow.

Successful candidates for this role bring 1-3 years of prior experience as General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a restaurant setting, with strong skills in motivating and inspiring team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment. Experience with P&L analysis, understanding food cost controls, and labor management are essential to drive store profitability and operational success. Recruiting and developing quality talent is a critical part of the role, ensuring that the store maintains a strong team culture and delivers top-notch service. At Einstein Bros. Bagels, General Managers receive five weeks of comprehensive training to prepare them thoroughly for their leadership responsibilities.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $60,000 to $62,000 annually, along with attainable quarterly bonuses, many employees receiving bonuses regularly.
