The role of Security Lobby Officer at Prosegur is a pivotal position within our security team, responsible for representing the company positively while ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and property. Reporting directly to the Security Supervisor, the Security Lobby Officer plays an essential role in customer service, emergency response, and access control. As an hourly, non-exempt position, this role offers a competitive wage of $23.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of security or customer service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and an ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

In this role, the Security Lobby Officer will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and employees entering the facility, offering courteous assistance and ensuring compliance with all client policies. Duties include monitoring entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access, managing visitor registrations, and facilitating efficient communication and reporting of incidents or irregularities. The Security Lobby Officer will also be involved in emergency response actions such as fire, chemical spill, or medical incidents, showcasing the importance of quick thinking, clear communication, and collaboration under crisis situations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Capability to stand or sit for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely
  • Flexibility to work scheduled and non-scheduled hours as required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist with emergency response to site fires, chemical spills, medical emergencies
  • Provide customer service to visitors and guests in accordance with company standards
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, provide information during business and non-business hours
  • Assist with registering visitors using client software applications or documentation
  • Sign, log in, and notify recipients of deliveries from outside vendors or couriers
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment damage, theft, or unauthorized people
  • Monitor packages and product movement for proper documentation and approval
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and authorized personnel to prevent unauthorized access and maintain security
  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned within post orders
  • Issue temporary badges and check in visitors using the Visitor Management System
  • Use Microsoft Suite applications effectively including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
